MAUS

Maus isn't about history alone.
It brings "what gets passed down quietly" to light.

An honest reminder of how survival doesn’t end when events do. The trauma lingers in habits, in conversations, in the way people relate to one another. It shuttles between past and present so seamlessly that it makes you realise memory itself is messy, layered, and unfinished.

Maus isn’t just trying to explain the Holocaust, It also shows what it leaves behind. Especially for the next generation, who inherit stories they didn’t live through but still carry.

It made me reflect on how much of who we are is shaped by things we never directly experienced, yet still respond to.

Line that stayed

You can’t ever be sure what’s real… because it’s all mixed up.

How do we remember difficult histories without simplifying them?
